Watkin Jones, the UK's leading developer and manager of residential properties for rent, is pleased to announce it has agreed a development partnership with Latium Enterprises to deliver a 294-unit hotel in the centre of Wimbledon.

 

The development will transform a former brownfield site on Worple Road, Wimbledon, enhancing the local neighbourhood with a number of amenities. The completed 11 storey hotel will provide a range of guest accommodation with thoughtfully designed spaces including a club lounge, gym, co-working space and café.

 

Watkin Jones is targeting BREEAM Excellent certification for the scheme, underlining our commitment to delivering sustainable developments that meet the highest environmental standards.

 

Over the course of the project, which is due to be delivered in summer 2028, the development is expected to generate revenue of approximately £40 million for Watkin Jones at margins consistent with guidance.

 

This is the second development partnership that Watkin Jones has entered into with Latium Enterprises, following the scheme in New Kent Road, London, announced in January 2025.
