Share Buyback Programme Update
Volex plc (AIM: VLX), a critical manufacturing partner to category leaders, delivering complex power and data connectivity systems, announces an amendment to its on-market share buyback programme, announced on 7 April 2026 (the "Share Buyback Programme").
The Company reiterated its capital allocation priorities at its recent capital markets event in April 2026, which include prioritising investment in organic capability where it supports customer-led growth, pursuing capability-led acquisitions that meet the Group's strict financial criteria, maintaining a progressive dividend policy and if appropriate, returning surplus capital by way of share buyback programmes.
Earlier today the Group announced the acquisition of the share capital it did not already own in KST SignalTek Ltd, increasing its ownership to 100%, for an initial cash consideration of $74.7 million. The Group's acquisition pipeline remains active, and accordingly, the Company has reduced the quantum of its Share Buyback Programme from £40 million to £20 million (the "Updated Share Buyback Programme"). This demonstrates the Company's discipline in allocating capital to generate returns for its shareholders, whilst maintaining financial flexibility to continue investing in the Group's growth strategy.
There are no other changes to the terms of the Share Buyback Programme announced on 7 April 2026.
