Contract to deliver student management system
for Deakin University, Australia
Tribal, a leading provider of technology-enabled solutions to international education, learning and training management markets, is pleased to announce that it has signed an AUD 8.4m (approximately £4.6m) implementation and support contract to provide its SITS:vision student management system to Deakin University, a leading Australian university.
Deakin University educates almost 50,000 students, of whom around 16% are international students. Deakin's teaching is delivered across four campuses across Victoria, complemented by a strong cloud-based teaching capability. Around 30% of Deakin's students undertake the majority of their studies through primarily online engagement.
The deployment of Tribal's SITS:vision student management system represents an important element of Deakin's programme to deliver innovative learning and a positive university experience for its students. SITS:vision will be replacing Deakin's existing Callista student management system.
Professor Jane den Hollander, Vice Chancellor at Deakin University commented "For Deakin to keep growing in an increasingly competitive Australian and international environment, having access to a world-class student management system and related operating insight will be critical. After a competitive procurement process, we are very pleased to be working with Tribal".
Keith Evans, Chief Executive, commented "We are looking forward to working closely with the team at Deakin over the coming months. A key focus for us will be driving an efficient migration from Deakin's Callista system onto our SITS:vision platform, supporting the Deakin management team to realize the full benefits of their change programme."
