Contract award with Continental to develop next-generation tyre management tool

Transense Technologies plc, the provider of specialist sensor systems and smart tyre management technology through its Translogik division, is pleased to announce that it has secured a development and supply contract with Continental, one of the world’s leading tyre manufacturers, for a next-generation digital tyre management tool.

Under this agreement, Translogik will develop a bespoke version of its handheld TLGX device, incorporating specific enhanced functionality to meet Continental's operational requirements.

Following successful completion of this funded 6 month development programme, the product is expected to enter production from Q2 2027, with deployment opportunities across Continental's global service network. The development programme represents a significant expansion of the long-standing commercial relationship between Translogik and Continental, which has been a customer of Transense for several years.

The project is being driven by increasing demand across the commercial vehicle sector for digital tyre management solutions, reflecting wider adoption of tyre pressure monitoring technologies, increasing digitalisation of tyre inspection processes and evolving regulatory requirements relating to tyre traceability and lifecycle management.

Subject to completion of the development project, the Transense board expects the programme to generate annual revenues of more than £0.7m from future deployments, underpinning significant long-term growth for the Company’s Translogik division.

Ryan Maughan, Managing Director of Transense Technologies plc, commented:

"We are delighted to be expanding our relationship with Continental through this development programme. Our TLGX platform has established a strong reputation for supporting digital tyre management, and this project reflects the increasing demand for integrated solutions as tyre management becomes more connected and data driven. We believe this programme represents an important commercial opportunity for Translogik and provides a strong platform for future growth."

Pascal Neumann, Product Manager, Digital Solutions at Continental, commented:

"Digitalisation is transforming tyre management and creating opportunities to improve efficiency, data quality and service delivery. We look forward to working with the Translogik team to develop a solution tailored to the evolving requirements of our global service network."

Further announcements will be made as appropriate.
