                 Darren Anderton Signs New Four Year Contract



Tottenham Hotspur plc is pleased to announce that agreement has been reached
with Darren Anderton who has now signed a new four year contract with
Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.


Anderton (29), an England international midfielder, has been at the Club since
joining from Portsmouth in June 1992.  He has won 29 full England caps,
scoring seven goals.  He has scored 40 goals in 268 appearances in all
competitions for Spurs.
