Board Change

Leading low-cost gym operator, The Gym Group, announces that, after five years' service, Non-Executive Director, Wais Shaifta, will be stepping down as a Director of the Company. His appointment will conclude at the close of the upcoming Annual General Meeting on 7 May 2026.

Succession planning for Wais's role as Chair of the Remuneration and Sustainability Committees is in discussion by the Nomination Committee and will be disclosed later in the year, once finalised.

John Treharne, Chair of The Gym Group, said: "I would like to thank Wais for his valuable contributions to the Board over the past five years and in particular his leadership to the Remuneration and Sustainability Committees. On behalf of the Board, we wish him every success in the next chapter of his career."
