Communications for Satellite-Linked, Geothermal-Powered AI

Tekcapital plc (AIM: TEK), the UK intellectual property investment group focused on creating valuable products that can improve people's lives, is pleased to provide a further update on its portfolio company, Vesari Inc. ("Vesari" - www.vesari.ai), which is developing the technology for a fully integrated, behind-the-meter, geothermal-powered hyperscale AI compute campus.

Further to the Company's announcement of 15 July 2026 regarding the filing and assignment of Vesari's initial eleven non-provisional U.S. patent applications, the Company is pleased to confirm that a twelfth non-provisional U.S. patent application has been filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office ("USPTO") and assigned to Vesari. The application, "Predictive Optical Communications Using Communications Telemetry as Distributed Atmospheric Sensing" (U.S. Patent Application No. 19/774,832), was filed on 13 August 2026, and all right, title and interest in the invention were assigned to Vesari the same day. Vesari's intellectual property portfolio (the "Patent Portfolio") now comprises twelve non-provisional U.S. patent applications. The Company will update the market with respect to the patent application process as appropriate.

The New Patent Application

The new application extends the Patent Portfolio into the low-Earth-orbit ("LEO") satellite optical data-transmission pillar of Vesari's platform. High-bandwidth free-space optical (laser) communications, including links among ground stations and satellites, can be degraded or interrupted by atmospheric conditions such as turbulence, moisture, cloud and aerosols. The application relates to using the ordinary operational telemetry produced by the optical communication links themselves as a distributed network of atmospheric sensors. By drawing on link-performance and signal-quality information gathered across many optical paths, the approach is designed to help characterise and anticipate atmospheric effects on the optical channel, supporting more predictive, adaptive and resilient communications.
