Technology Minerals Plc
("Technology Minerals" or the "Company")
Recyclus awarded TFS licence and ISO Accreditation
Technology Minerals Plc (LSE: TM1), the first UK listed company focused on creating national resource and manufacturing resilience through a sustainable circular economy for battery metals and other critical resources, is pleased to announce that its 48.35% owned subsidiary and the UK's first industrial-scale lithium-ion battery recycler, Recyclus Group Ltd ("Recyclus"), has been awarded a Transfrontier Shipment of Waste ("TFS") licence and ISO Accreditation. In addition, further to the announcement of 5 March 2026, Nick Kounoupias has now joined the Recyclus Board as the Company's representative.
TFS Licence and ISO Accreditation
Recyclus has been awarded a TFS licence for the second consecutive year, enabling the company to transport black mass to Europe under its offtake agreement with Glencore plc. The licence covers up to 600 tonnes across 40 shipments and is valid through January 2027, providing clear forward visibility on export capacity and revenue. The TFS licence is required under government regulations to allow companies to legally move waste across borders internationally. This is to ensure that the management, transportation, disposal and recovery of waste is addressed in an environmentally friendly approach.
In addition, Recyclus has once again achieved certification for ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Health & Safety Management). These globally recognised standards, awarded by the International Organization for Standardization ("ISO"), reflect best practice in operational excellence. The certifications are valid for three years and underline Recyclus' ongoing commitment to supporting a circular economy while maintaining high environmental and safety standards as the business continues to grow.
Recyclus Board Update
Nick Kounoupias, Non-Executive Director of Technology Minerals, has been appointed Non-Executive Director at Recyclus as the Company's representative on Recyclus' Board. As previously announced on 5 March 2026, under the terms of a new loan agreement between Technology Minerals and Recyclus, the Company has the right to appoint and maintain one Director to the Recyclus board.
Alex Stanbury, CEO of Technology Minerals and Director of Recyclus, said: "We are delighted to have secured our TFS licence for a second consecutive year, enabling us to continue the responsible and compliant export of black mass to Europe under our agreement with Glencore. The licence covers up to 600 tonnes across 40 shipments and is valid through January 2027, providing strong forward visibility on our export capacity and revenue. This achievement, alongside the renewal of our ISO certification, evidences our ongoing commitment to the highest environmental, regulatory and safety standards as we scale operations across Recyclus.
"I am also pleased to confirm that Nick has formally joined the Board of Recyclus, and with him brings a wealth of experience, strengthening the Board in its ability to support the company's strategic ambitions."
