Team Internet Group plc (AIM: TIG, OTCQX: TIGXF), the global internet company that generates recurring revenue from powering identity and discovery online, is hosting a LinkedIn Live event from 15:00 to 16:00 BST on 6 May 2026, in which CEO, Michael Riedl, will discuss how brands can better protect their online presence in an era increasingly impacted by Artificial Intelligence.
Entitled How Brands Protect Trust in the Age of AI Michael Riedl, CEO of Team Internet, will discuss how AI is becoming increasingly adept at impersonating websites, and how companies can counter this threat, ensuring they maintain trust in their online brand.
Utilising a dotBrand domain name is a key defence against AI impersonation. A dotbrand domain enables companies to place their brand after the dot, such as, for example, .rolex or .bmw instead of .com or .co.uk. This provides a unique, closed namespace that is far harder for even the most sophisticated AI models to impersonate, enabling simple verification of the legitimacy of a website. On 30 April 2026 ICANN (the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) will open application submissions for new gTLDs (global Top Level Domains) giving companies a rare opportunity to secure a dotBrand domain name before applications close on 12 August 2026.
