Management Changes

Talisman Metals PLC (“Talisman” or the “Company”) announces changes to its management team, greatly strengthening the Company’s capability for targeted exploration work and analysis.

Vernon Shein joins Talisman as Lead Geologist. Mr. Shein, a mining industry veteran with 44 years of exploration industry experience was the Exploration Manager for Bema Gold Corp. and its successor company B2Gold Corp. from 2003 to 2022. He specialised in advancing exploration programmes through preliminary economic assessment to feasibility study and into production. While serving as Exploration Manager at Bema and B2Gold, projects that he managed from exploration through to production include the Kupol Mine in Russia, the Jabali Mine in Nicaragua and the Montana open pit at the Masbate Mine in the Philippines.  He has worked in North and South America, Scandinavia and East Asia. Mr. Shein holds a B.Sc. in Specialisation Geology from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada.

Driss El Bouhli joins Talisman as Country Manager/Senior Geologist. Mr. El Bouhli has 40 years’ experience in exploration geology, exploration programme management and operations management. Career highlights include Exploration Manager for SEMAFO in Guinea, Exploration Geologist for Managem in Ivory Coast and Morocco, and Exploration Manager for AngloGold Ashanti in Mali. He has extensive experience in North and West Africa in organising and leading exploration and drilling campaigns and he is an expert in Moroccan mining regulations. Mr. El Bouhli has an M.Sc. in Geology and Graduate Degree in Structural Geology from Mohammed VI University in Rabat, Morocco.

Fabien Linares is no longer with the Company, which thanks him for his tenure at Talisman.
