First Independent Event - Saudi PPPP Participation

Symphony Environmental Technologies plc (AIM: SYM), the global specialist in technologies that make plastic products smarter, safer and more sustainable, announces its participation at the Saudi Plastics & Petrochem and Saudi Print & Pack exhibition ("Saudi PPPP"), taking place from 21-24 June 2026 at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Center.

Saudi PPPP is one of the region's leading industrial trade exhibitions, bringing together international manufacturers, technology providers and government stakeholders across the plastics, petrochemical, packaging and printing sectors, and forming a key platform within Riyadh International Industry Week.

The Symphony team is exhibiting alongside its strategic manufacturing partner, Pure Polymers, strengthening the Group's expanding production and commercial presence in Saudi Arabia.

This event represents Symphony's first major industry exhibition undertaken through its independent regional sales and marketing platform, through its wholly owned UAE subsidiary, Symphony Plastics Trading L.L.C., and marks an important step in growing the Group's Middle East operations in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.

At the exhibition, Symphony is showcasing a portfolio of advanced materials technologies:

·      d2p functional technologies, including antimicrobial, flame retardant, anti‑insect and other performance‑enhancing technologies

·      NbR (Natural Biodegradable Resin) - a lower‑cost, lower‑carbon biodegradable resin incorporating natural minerals and reduced polymer content

·      d2w biodegradable plastics - designed to address plastic pollution by enabling plastics to biodegrade in the open environment without leaving persistent microplastic residues.

These technologies integrate into existing plastic manufacturing processes without requiring changes to equipment or supply chains, enabling immediate commercial adoption.

Saudi Arabia has implemented mandatory regulations under SASO 2879 requiring a broad range of short‑life plastic products to use SASO‑approved oxo‑biodegradable technology and carry the official SASO mark.  Symphony's d2w is one of very few approved technologies.  The UAE has similar regulations.

Phase 1 of the enforcement programme covers high‑volume applications including plastic bags, packaging films, agricultural films, liners, table covers and disposable personal care items. These requirements apply to both locally manufactured and imported products, and non‑compliant products are not permitted in the Saudi market, creating a clear regulatory barrier to entry.

Symphony's d2w technology is fully compliant, carries the Saudi Quality Mark, and products made for it are approved for supply into the Kingdom and export to the UK and other markets.  Symphony also has authorised toll‑manufacturing facilities in Jeddah and Taiwan. The Group is therefore well positioned to operate within this mandatory framework and to support continued commercial growth in the region.

Michael Laurier, Chief Executive of Symphony Environmental, said:

"We are pleased to be participating in Saudi PPPP alongside our Saudi strategic partner, Pure Polymers. Saudi Arabia is already a global leader in oxo‑biodegradable plastics through its regulatory framework, and this exhibition provides an excellent platform to demonstrate how our technologies support industrial growth, environmental protection and export competitiveness.

Our presence at this event, through our wholly‑owned UAE subsidiary, reflects our commitment to the region and our strategy to expand manufacturing, partnerships, and commercial activity across the Middle East."
