                SURGICAL INNOVATIONS GROUP PLC
                      MAIN BOARD CHANGES

The  Board  of Surgical Innovations Group plc today  announces
that  it has amicably agreed with Ian Lomas that he will  step
down  as  Managing Director with Immediate effect.  The  Board
would  like to thank Ian for his valuable contribution
to  the  Company  in its formative years and  wish  him  every
success for the future.

Stuart Moran, 36, is to be appointed to the Board as Technical
Director.  Given the innovative nature of the business it  has
become  desirable  to have a technical representative  on  the
main   Board.   Stuart  has  been  with  Surgical  Innovations
virtually  since  its  inception and the  Board  believes  his
experience and knowledge will be of significant benefit as the
Company moves forward.

It  is  the  intention of the Board to appoint a new  Managing
Director  with relevant experience as soon as is  practicable.
However,   in  the  meantime  Doug  Liversidge,  Non-Executive
Chairman,  who  has  extensive experience  in  the  healthcare
industry,  will  be devoting additional time  to  the  Company
whilst  Graham Bowland, Finance Director together with  Stuart
Moran  will  be  sharing the responsibilities of  running  the
Company.

Regards  current trading, ION Product Solutions, the  division
which  offers design and manufacturing services, continues  to
progress  and  currently is in discussions with  a  number  of
major  healthcare  companies in regard to product  development
projects.  Also, the royalty income from Genzyme continues  to
increase.  Overheads continue to be monitored with a  view  to
providing the Company with a stable and profitable base.
