Royalty Portfolio Provides Multiple Value Routes

Summary by AI BETAClose X

Sunrise Resources plc is highlighting its portfolio of retained royalty interests in Nevada, which offer exposure to future mineral production without further expenditure. The company holds four royalty and royalty-linked interests across gold, copper, and industrial minerals. Notably, Kinross Gold U.S.A., Inc. has an option until October 6, 2030, to acquire Sunrise's Jackson Wash claims for US$500,000, with Sunrise retaining a 2.5% Net Smelter Return (NSR) royalty upon exercise. Sunrise also retains a 2% NSR royalty on its Garfield claims, a 2% NSR royalty on the Stonewall Gold Project, and a US$6 per dry ton royalty on diatomite mined from the Crow Springs claims.

Royalty Portfolio Provides Multiple Routes to Future Value

Retained royalty interests provide exposure to future mineral production without further exploration or development expenditure.

Sunrise Resources plc ("Sunrise" or the "Company") is pleased to highlight the potential value of its portfolio of retained royalty interests in Nevada, USA, together with its lease and option agreement with major international gold producer Kinross Gold U.S.A., Inc. ("Kinross") over the Company's Jackson Wash claims.

The Company's royalty interests provide exposure to future mineral production and project development without Sunrise being required to contribute to exploration, development or operating expenditure.

Highlights

·      Four royalty and royalty-linked interests across gold, copper and industrial minerals in Nevada.

·      Jackson Wash: Kinross holds an option, exercisable until 6 October 2030, to acquire Sunrise's 25 Jackson Wash mining claims for US$500,000, with Sunrise retaining a 2.5% Net Smelter Return ("NSR") royalty following exercise of the option.

·      Kinross is actively exploring the wider Jackson Wash area as part of its Montezuma Gold Project, providing Sunrise with exposure to exploration activity being funded by a major international gold producer.

·      Garfield: Sunrise retains a 2% NSR royalty over its original claims and a surrounding one-mile area. The royalty area includes the Powerline Zone, the Mother Zone and approximately half of the High-Grade Zone, where exploration has identified copper, gold and silver mineralisation and extensive alteration.

·      Nearby discovery provides regional geological validation: VR Resources Ltd.'s New Boston Project, located in the Garfield Hills close to the Garfield Project, has demonstrated a large-footprint polymetallic porphyry-skarn system with similar styles of mineralisation.

·      Stonewall: Sunrise retains a 2% NSR royalty over the Stonewall Gold Project, an epithermal gold-silver target in the Walker Lane Mineral Belt.

·      Crow Springs: Sunrise retains a royalty of US$6 per dry ton of diatomite mined and extracted from the Crow Springs claims previously sold to Dicalite Management Group.

Royalty interests - leveraged exposure to exploration success

Royalty interests are an important component of Sunrise's project-generator strategy to identify mineral opportunities at relatively low cost, add value through exploration and then seek to monetise projects through sales, partnerships, option arrangements and royalty structures.

As a result, the Company has a portfolio of interests that can potentially generate value through upfront consideration from project transactions and option exercises; future royalty income from successful project development; and continued exposure to exploration upside without further capital expenditure.

Sunrise believes that the retained royalty portfolio is an important and potentially undervalued component of Sunrise's asset base. Its royalty interests complement its core exploration portfolio and provide shareholders with exposure to potential future cash flows from projects being advanced by third parties.

Garfield - royalty exposure to an emerging copper-gold district

Sunrise holds a royalty at the Garfield Project located within the highly prospective Walker Lane Mineral Belt in Nevada and operated by Guardian Metal Resources ("Guardian").

Sunrise retains a 2% NSR royalty over its original Garfield claims together with a surrounding one-mile area of influence. The royalty area includes the Powerline Zone and approximately half of the High-Grade Zone where porphyry and skarn-type mineralisation is targeted

In July 2026, Guardian reported further geological mapping at Garfield, identifying additional epithermal precious metal mineralised structures and a broad alteration footprint in the High-Grade Zone, together with a new area of epithermal stockwork veining and mineralisation at the Mother Zone. The Mother Zone lies wholly within Sunrise's royalty area.

Regional geological validation from VR Resources - the potential of the Garfield district is further highlighted by recent exploration success in the surrounding Garfield Hills where VR Resources Ltd. ("VRR") is advancing its New Boston Project described by VRR as a large-footprint, polymetallic porphyry-skarn-breccia system, with copper, molybdenum, silver and tungsten mineralisation hosted in porphyry intrusions, stockwork veins and skarn.

On 26 August 2026, VRR announced the results of its latest drilling at New Boston, reporting 317 metres at 0.77% CuEq from surface and a further 419 metres at 0.48% CuEq from 460 metres.

While the New Boston and Garfield projects are distinctly separate mineral properties, the occurrence of significant porphyry-skarn and polymetallic mineralisation within the same Garfield Hills/Walker Lane setting provides encouraging regional geological context for continued exploration at Garfield.

Stonewall Gold - epithermal vein system in elephant country

Also located in the Walker Lane Mineral Belt, southwest of the famous silver deposits of Tonopah and south of the historic mining town of Goldfield, the Stonewall Project covers the thick Stonewall epithermal vein system where Sunrise retains a 2% NSR Royalty following the sale of the project to Guardian.

Epithermal vein systems present attractive exploration targets with over 170 million ounces of silver produced at Tonopah early in the 20th century.

Jackson Wash - potential 2.5% NSR royalty with Kinross

Sunrise's Jackson Wash claims provide a particularly attractive example of the project generator/royalty model.

The 25 mining claims are currently leased to Kinross Gold U.S.A., Inc., a subsidiary of one of the world's leading gold producers.

Under the agreement, Kinross has an option to purchase the claims for US$500,000 at any time before 6 October 2030. If the option is exercised, Sunrise will retain a 2.5% NSR royalty on future production from the claims.

The Jackson Wash claims form part of the broader Montezuma exploration area being investigated by Kinross. Sunrise therefore has exposure to exploration expenditure being funded by a major gold producer while retaining its royalty interest in any future production.

Crow Springs Diatomite - production royalty close to producing plant

At Crow Springs, Sunrise has already monetised its project while retaining a royalty linked to future diatomite production.

The Company's US$6 per dry tonne royalty is payable by Dicalite Management Group ("Dicalite") and has the potential to be an early revenue generator for the Company with production slated by Dicalite as feed for its nearby Basalt diatomite processing plant.

Patrick Cheetham, Executive Chairman, commented:

"Our royalty portfolio provides Sunrise shareholders with exposure to exploration and development success without the associated capital requirements.

"The Garfield royalty is particularly interesting in this regard. Guardian continues to advance exploration across the project and recent work has identified additional mineralised structures and alteration within our royalty area.

"The latest results from VRR at its nearby New Boston project provide interesting regional context. VRR has reported a very substantial polymetallic porphyry-skarn drill intersection in the Garfield Hills which includes copper, tungsten, silver and molybdenum mineralisation and the presence of significant porphyry-skarn mineralisation in this geological setting demonstrates the potential of the wider district.

"Alongside Garfield, our Stonewall and Crow Springs royalties and the potential buy-out and 2.5% NSR royalty at Jackson Wash provide Sunrise with multiple opportunities for future royalty income and capital value."
