Please be advised that the Board of Directors of Sun Life Financial Services of
Canada Inc. has today declared the following quarterly dividend on the common
shares of the Corporation as follows:

     12 cents in Canadian funds, payable on December 31, 2000, to shareholders
     of record as at the close of business on November 13, 2000.
