Appointment of Non-Executive Director
Strategic Minerals plc (AIM: SML; USOTC: SMCDY), an international mineral exploration and production company, is pleased to announce that, further to its announcement of 11 June 2026 and following the completion of customary Nominated Adviser due diligence, Luke Rogers has been appointed as an independent Non-Executive Director of the Company with immediate effect.
Mr Rogers has extensive international experience in mining and operations, having worked in the industry for over 15 years as a mining executive and engineer with a particular focus on critical and strategic minerals. His experience spans mine development and operations, as well as project evaluation and investment across Africa, Europe and South America. He is currently Technical Director at Balta SA and has also held senior leadership positions with various mining companies, including Aterian PLC and TechMet Ltd.
Mr Rogers also has significant regional knowledge and strong relationships in Cornwall, where the Company's flagship Redmoor Tungsten-Tin-Copper Project ("Redmoor") is located, through his role as an elected Cornwall Councillor representing St Ives East, Lelant and Carbis Bay. The Board believes this combination of mining expertise and local knowledge is well suited to the next phase of development at Redmoor.

As at the date of this announcement, Mr Rogers does not hold any ordinary shares in the Company.
Mr Rogers is an elected member of Cornwall Council, where he sits on the Sustainable Growth and Place Overview and Scrutiny Committee and the Cornwall Economic Forum. The Board has considered this in the context of the Redmoor Project's location in Cornwall, and appropriate arrangements have been put in place for the identification and management of any potential conflicts of interest.

In September 2011, Strategic Minerals acquired the distribution rights to the Cobre magnetite project in New Mexico, USA, through its wholly owned subsidiary Southern Minerals Group. Cobre has been in production since 2012 and continues to provide a sustainable revenue stream for the Company.
In March 2018, the Company completed the acquisition of the Leigh Creek Copper Mine situated in the copper rich belt of South Australia. The Company has entered into an exclusive Call Option with South Pacific Mineral Investments Pty Ltd trading as Cuprum Metals to acquire 100% of the project.
