Standard Chartered PLC ("SC") announces that on 24 June 2026 it purchased the following number of its ordinary shares of US$0.50 each from J.P. Morgan Securities plc pursuant to the share buy-back programme previously detailed in the announcement of 24 February 2026 (the "Buy-back").

As at close of business London time on 23 June 2026, SC had applied an aggregate of US$1,499,999,977.04 to share purchases pursuant to the Buy-back.

 

Following the purchase of these shares, the Buy-back that commenced on 25 February 2026 (announced on 24 February 2026), has completed. Since the commencement of the Buy-back, the Company has repurchased for cancellation 62,797,188 ordinary shares at a volume weighted average price of £17.803262 per ordinary share for an aggregate consideration of approximately US$1.5 billion.

 

SC intends to cancel the purchased shares. Following the cancellation of the purchased shares, SC will have 2,191,045,499 ordinary shares in issue. Therefore, the total number of voting rights in SC will be 2,191,045,499.

 

Any such share purchases will be effected in accordance with certain pre-set parameters and limits, and in accordance with applicable law and regulation as described in more detail in SCs announcement of 24 February 2026.
