SSE plc (the "Company") announces that it purchased 324,149 of its ordinary shares of 50 pence each (“Ordinary Shares”) through UBS AG London Branch (“UBS”) between 26 October 2026 and 28 October 2026. | |||||

These purchases were made as part of the Company's £105 million share buyback programme as announced on 9 October 2026 (the “Programme”). All shares were purchased from UBS as an "on exchange" transaction subject to the rules of the London Stock Exchange and in accordance with the authority granted by shareholders at SSE's Annual General Meeting on 16 July 2026 and Chapter 9 of the Listing Rules. The Ordinary Shares purchased will be held as treasury shares. To date, SSE has purchased 1,800,819 Ordinary Shares in aggregate from UBS in connection with the Programme. | |||||

Following settlement of the above transactions, the remaining number of Ordinary Shares in issue will be 1,223,928,407, with 4,026,826 shares held in Treasury. Therefore, the total voting rights in the Company will be 1,219,901,581. This figure for the total number of voting rights may be used by shareholders (and others with notification obligations) as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules. | |||||
