The Directors of the SIAM INVESTMENT FUND wish to announce the following actions
by the Board of Directors:

         A. As previously announced on 29 March 2000, a US$1 dividend per
            share was paid to shareholders on 15 May 2000.

         B. Other measures previously announced on 29 March 2000, namely a
            proposed share split and warrant issue, have been withdrawn due
            to adverse market conditions.
