Appointment of Interim CFO

 

24 August 2026 - SkinBioTherapeutics plc, (AIM: SBTX), the life science business focused on skin health, has appointed Anita Slater as Interim CFO (non-Board) for an initial six-month term. Ms Slater will start her duties with immediate effect to ensure an orderly handover with an interim finance team.

Anita Slater has 30 years' experience in commercial and financial senior leadership roles including Board positions, and has worked across start-ups, AIM-listed firms, and FTSE top 10 companies in energy, infrastructure, and manufacturing. She started her career at BG Group (now Shell) where she worked for c.19 years and rose to be Portfolio & Planning Manager for the Global Business Development team and finished her term there as the Shell-BG Merger Exploration Transition Team Manager, following Shell's acquisition. Having left the oil and gas sector in 2016, Anita worked in the renewable energy and technology sectors and was focused on formulating and delivering growth strategies. She worked in executive (including CFO) roles with a number of companies in this space, including, Tokamak Energy, AIM-listed AMTE Power plc, mining and renewable energy ventures Blue International Group and Joule Africa.

She qualified as a Chartered Accountant at PwC and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and is a Business & Finance Professional (BFP). She has a BSc (Hons) in Applied Economics from the University of Plymouth.
