LSE market opening ceremony

Shaires Holdings Ltd CEO, Vivek ‘Vick’ Seth, opened the day’s trading at the London Stock Exchange this morning. The ceremony marked the launch of the Company’s initial US$108 million investment portfolio, which contains positions in seven of the world’s leading private AI companies.

Joined by the Company’s management and advisers on the balcony, Vick thanked all who contributed to the successful fundraising, a defining milestone for the Company.

In August 2026, Shaires completed a second tranche of institutional fundraising alongside a retail offer, bringing on board more than 670 new retail shareholders and establishing its concentrated portfolio of investments in AI, frontier technology and related infrastructure companies. The retail offer was the first ever to use the AIM’s Capital Access Window mechanism, enabling retail investors to participate in the fundraising on the same terms and at the same time as institutions.

Since completion of the fundraise, Shaires has closed investments in Anthropic and Stripe, alongside securing binding agreements or ongoing deployments in ByteDance, Moonshot AI, Figure AI, SandboxAQ, and Colossal Biosciences.

Vick Seth, CEO of Shaires, said:

"This is a defining time in the evolution of the AI supercycle, and Shaires offers institutional and retail shareholders the opportunity to participate in this transformation. The recent fundraise demonstrates that our confidence in the London market as an untapped pool of liquidity is justified we and are very pleased to celebrate our launch at the LSE today.

"I would also like to thank the entire Shaires team, who made the launch possible, and the LSE, which has been incredibly supportive of our efforts."

About Shaires Holdings Ltd

Shaires Holdings Ltd (AIM: SHR) is a publicly quoted London investment company that provides public market investors with concentrated exposure to leading private mid- and late-stage technology companies, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence. The Company is internally managed and charges no management or performance fees.

In addition to cash investments, the Company may acquire positions through in-kind (in-specie) contributions, whereby employees and early shareholders of private technology companies may exchange eligible holdings for new Ordinary Shares in the Company, therefore providing them liquidity and diversification. Through this mechanism, public-market investors gain access to an asset class historically closed to them.

With an emerging megatrend of large frontier AI companies vertically integrating their business throughout the value chain from modelling through to chips and services, the Shaires board and management believe that they have the right methodology and strategy to provide capital to the best next-generation businesses.
