Schroder Income Growth Fund plc (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr David Ballance ("David") as an independent non-executive Director of the Company, with immediate effect. David will also be appointed as a member of the audit and risk committee, nomination committee, management engagement committee and remuneration committee. 

  

David brings around 37 years' investment experience to the Board, the last fifteen of which were spent as a portfolio manager at Ruffer LLP, where he retired from the Partnership in March 2022. He is presently a non-executive director of Monks Investment Trust plc, chairs the Investment Group at Christ Church Oxford, is an External Investment Adviser to the Nuffield Foundation and a member of the Book Tokens Investment Committee.

  

It is confirmed that there are no other details to be disclosed concerning David under UK Listing Rule 6.4.8 R.
