Safestay plc (AIM: SSTY), the owner and operator of an international brand of contemporary hostels, announces that Peter Zielke, Director and former Chief Operating Officer of the Company, has informed the Board that he will not seek re-election as a director at the Company's forthcoming Annual General Meeting and will therefore step down from the Board at the conclusion of the AGM.

 

As announced on 11 May 2026, Davide Caschili was appointed to the Board as Chief Operating Officer with effect from 10 June 2026, succeeding Peter Zielke in that role. Peter stepped down from his executive responsibilities on that date and has remained on the Board to support an orderly transition.

 

Following the AGM, Peter will continue to support the Company in a consultancy capacity to assist with continuity in relation to key operational matters.

Notice of AGM

The Company also announces that the Notice of Annual General Meeting has today been posted to shareholders. The AGM will be held at Safestay London Elephant & Castle, 144-152 Walworth Road, London, SE17 1JL on Wednesday 12 August 2026 at 9.00am.

 

Shareholders are encouraged to vote by proxy, electronically appointing the Chairman of the Meeting as their proxy. Details of how to do this are contained in the Notice of Annual General Meeting.
