Airborne Geophysical Survey

Summary by AI BETAClose X

Rome Resources plc is undertaking an airborne geophysical survey covering over 600km of helicopter-borne data across its two licences in the Bisie tin district, aiming to calibrate anomalies with nearby producing mines and identify new tin exploration targets. This survey, utilizing a VTEM Plus sensor and caesium magnetometer, is expected to provide critical data to guide future drilling plans at Kalayi and Mont Agoma, and assess wider potential across their licence areas. Pre-survey flight testing began on May 11, 2026, with operations expected to move onto Rome Resources' licences in late May 2026.

Airborne Geophysical Survey

Rome Resources plc (AIM: RMR), the DRC-focused tin and copper explorer, is pleased to announce that it is participating in an airborne geophysical survey (the "Survey") covering the greater Bisie tin district, a district that contains one of the world's highest grade tin plays.

The Survey forms part of a broader contiguous programme of geophysical data acquisition being conducted across adjacent areas of the wider Bisie tin district.

Acquisition of over 600km of helicopter-borne geophysical data is planned for Rome Resources, flown by Geotech Ltd, a globally renowned geophysical contractor, at 100m line spacing and comprising a full waveform time-domain electromagnetic sensor (VTEM Plus) coupled with a caesium magnetometer.

The Survey will cover the entirety of Rome Resources' two licences and is expected to help calibrate geophysical anomalies on Rome Resources' acreage with those of nearby producing mines.  It is also expected to identify and prioritise additional tin exploration targets and better define the tin granite contact to the south in Rome Resources' licence areas.

Pre-Survey flight testing commenced in the southern area on 11 May 2026 and is expected to move onto Rome Resources' licences area in late May 2026.

Paul Barrett, Chief Executive Officer of Rome Resources, commented:

"The opportunity to undertake the Survey is very timely and represents an important step in advancing our understanding of the broader Bisie mineralisation system. Alongside the assay results from our recently completed drilling campaign at Kalayi and the forthcoming updated Mineral Resource Estimate, the Survey is expected to provide critical data to guide our plans for the next phase of drilling at both Kalayi and Mont Agoma, while also helping to assess the wider potential across our two licence areas as we define the next phase of exploration at Bisie North. We look forward to sharing the results in due course."
