Molaoi Update
Rockfire Resources plc (LON: ROCK), the base metal, critical mineral and precious metal exploration company, is pleased to provide an update of activities from the Company's 100%-owned Molaoi zinc deposit in Greece.
Highlights
· Diamond drilling recommenced on schedule after the summer vacation and hole HMO-021 remains in progress.
· Preliminary results from the comminution test work have been received from SLR Consulting. The result measures the Molaoi ore as 'Medium-Hard' with a Drop Weight Index ("DWi") of 8.66 kWh/t. Semi-Autogenous Grinding ("SAG") mills typically draw anywhere from 6 kWh/t to 12 kWh/t of energy to grind the rock. The Molaoi ore energy requirement sits well within the standard energy consumption range for global mining projects.
· Rockfire has had an update from Epiroc regarding the arrival of Rockfire's own drilling rig with the rig expected slightly behind schedule, with arrival in Athens due at the end of October/early November 2026.
· The Company has commenced interviewing experienced drillers to join Rockfire's subsidiary, Hellenic Minerals S.A. and has also made good progress with identifying and securing drilling assistants in preparation for drilling later in the year.

David Price, Chief Executive Officer of Rockfire, commented:
"Preliminary results from the comminution test work have been received from SLR Consulting. The results show that the Molaoi ore is categorised as 'Medium Hard' in the 'Steve Morrell Comminution' ("SMC") test. Dr. Steve Morrell is a British National from the Imperial College London who developed a unique laboratory test for mineral processing which measures rock strength and ore hardness.
The result of the SMC test is used to determine the DWi, which is a measure of the strength of the rock when broken under impact conditions and has the units kWh/t. Around 99% of DWi values from global mining projects lie in the range 0.5 kWh/t (soft ore) to 14.0 kWh/t (hard ore), with Molaoi having a DWi of 8.66 kWh/t.
Rockfire is considering the option of a SAG mill, rather than a conventional ball mill. SAG mills rely on the rock impacting against itself inside a rotating mill, whereas ball mills rely on the introduction of expensive and high-wear steel balls, resulting in SAG mills having materially cheaper operating costs.
SAG mills typically draw anywhere from 6 kWh/t to 12 kWh/t of energy to grind the rock to a fine powder. From these results, These preliminary results indicate that the Molaoi energy requirement to grind the ore sits well within the standard energy consumption range. These tests and the resulting knowledge about the ore and the grinding characteristics and costs feed directly into the flowsheet for processing are expected to form the framework for feasibility parameters.
The market will continue to be informed and updated as we advance the Molaoi Project."
