The Company's investment in Shinsei Bank was valued at £59.8 million at 30
September 2004. This represented more than 5% of the Company's gross assets on
that date. Save for this investment, no other single investment represented more
than 5% by value of the Company's gross assets as at 30 September 2004.

to confirmation by the directors of RIT Capital Partners plc prior to the
