Lord Rothschild, a director of RIT Capital Partners plc ('RITCP'), was
today made aware of and advised the Company of the following event affecting his
beneficial and non-beneficial interests in the Company's ordinary shares:
1,590,353 shares (1.01% of issued) held in a discretionary settlement in which
he is one of a class of beneficiaries were transferred on 29 March 2004 to
another family settlement in which he has no personal interest, either as
beneficiary or as a trustee.
Following the above, Lord Rothschild's interests in the ordinary shares of RITCP
comprise the following:
19,789,681 shares (12.62% of issued) held beneficially.
6,708,324 shares (4.28% of issued) held non-beneficially.
