Appointment of AGIP Nucleare Lead Geologist

Summary by AI BETAClose X

Reveille Resources PLC has appointed Dr. Camillo Mario Pessina as a Strategic Consultant to aid in the exploration permit applications for Novazza and Val Vedello in northern Italy, both currently undergoing environmental impact assessments. Dr. Pessina, formerly the lead geologist for Val Vedello at AGIP Nucleare, brings direct historical knowledge of the project and will assist Reveille in assessing its geological potential using modern methods, particularly in relation to the wider Orobic uranium district. This strategic engagement is expected to be valuable as the company progresses through the environmental assessment process and prepares for a planned drilling campaign upon license issuance.

Appointment of AGIP Nucleare Lead Geologist

Reveille [AQSE: REV], a uranium exploration and development company with a primary focus on Italy's largest uranium deposits, is pleased to announce the engagement of Dr Camillo Mario Pessina as Strategic Consultant in relation to the Company’s exploration permit applications for Novazza and Val Vedello in northern Italy. Both applications are currently advancing through the Italian environmental impact assessment (VIA) process.

Dr Pessina formerly served as lead geologist for Val Vedello at AGIP Nucleare. He has direct knowledge of the project and its historic exploration, having played a leading role in the geological work undertaken at the time. His appointment brings Reveille the benefit of his first-hand understanding of Val Vedello as the Company reviews the historical information and assesses the project using current geological and mineral exploration methods.

Dr Pessina will support Reveille’s strategic assessment of Val Vedello, including consideration of its geological potential and its relationship to Novazza and the wider Orobic uranium district.

Dr Camillo Pessina, Strategic Geological Consultant for Reveille, commented:

“Returning to Val Vedello after forty years has profound professional and personal meaning for me. I am pleased to bring to Reveille my direct knowledge of the project and the experience I gained during my work with AGIP and AGIP Nucleare. I hope to help the Company assess the historical information alongside current methods, refine its understanding of Val Vedello’s geology and mineralisation, and identify the questions that further work needs to address, including in the context of Novazza and the wider Orobic uranium district. I believe this work must be grounded in scientific rigour, transparent information, verified data and respect for the environment, local communities, institutions and permitting processes. I also look forward to helping pass on the value of the work carried out at Val Vedello to a new generation of researchers.”

Ippolito Ingo Cattaneo, Executive Director of Reveille, commented:

“Dr Pessina is, in many respects, the father of the Val Vedello project. His first-hand knowledge of its geology and the work undertaken there gives him an unparalleled understanding of the project. He has long believed that Val Vedello’s geological potential extends beyond what was historically appraised, and has developed exploration concepts focused on geological areas of interest identified during the historical work but left untested or unproven at the time. We now have the opportunity to examine those ideas using modern exploration methods and assess whether they could point to a materially larger mineralised system.

“His knowledge will be particularly valuable as we progress the Val Vedello application through the VIA process during this initial phase, ahead of our planned drilling campaign, which we intend to commence immediately once the exploration licences are issued. Reveille is an Italian-led company, managed by Italians and committed to advancing geological exploration in Italy. We are delighted to be working with Dr Pessina and look forward to progressing our evaluation of Val Vedello and successfully completing the VIA processes for both Val Vedello and Novazza.”

Notes to Editors

Reveille Resources plc (AQSE: REV) is a UK natural resources exploration and development company with a primary focus on Italy, where it is advancing the exploration and development of the country's largest historic uranium deposits.

Through its Italian subsidiary, Futuro Energetico Italiano S.r.l, the Company has submitted exploration-licence applications in respect of the Novazza and Val Vedello uranium projects in northern Italy, each of which is subject to the applicable environmental-assessment process. The projects were historically explored and developed by AGIP Nucleare S.p.A. and its operating subsidiary, SOMIREN, both part of the ENI group, during Italy’s national nuclear programme between 1959 and 1983. This work included more than 87,000 metres of historical drilling and approximately 17 kilometres of underground development.

Reveille's strategy is to identify and advance uranium projects that have benefited from substantial historical exploration and technical work, but where value has yet to be fully realised due to geopolitical, technological, financial or historical factors. By applying modern exploration techniques and internationally recognised reporting standards, the Company intends to verify historical data, advance exploration and work towards the delineation of mineral resources in accordance with internationally recognised reporting standards.

While Italy remains the Company's principal area of focus, Reveille will selectively evaluate additional uranium opportunities elsewhere in Europe and in other Western jurisdictions where similar value creation opportunities exist. The Company is committed to advancing its projects responsibly, working closely with local communities, regulators and other stakeholders to ensure that exploration activities are undertaken to the highest environmental, technical and governance standards.
