Charities Aid Foundation appoints James Clarry as new Chief Executive

The Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) has announced the appointment of James Clarry as its Chief Executive.

James Clarry has been Chief Executive of Justice & Care since 2023, a global charity which campaigns to end modern slavery and provides frontline support to exploited people. Before Justice & Care, James was Chief Operating Officer for six years at Coutts, a private bank and wealth manager, following several senior roles across the NatWest Group. James has a background in law and is also Chair of the Board of Fireflai.

James will take on the role from January 2027 at the latest, with Caroline Siarkiewicz continuing as Interim Chief Executive until then.

Sir Edward Braham, Chair of Trustees for the Charities Aid Foundation, said:

He will bring strategic leadership for our teams across the UK and North America, ensuring CAF continues to evolve how we deliver for our clients and support charities and communities in the years ahead.

"I would also like to thank Caroline Siarkiewicz for her diligence and expertise guiding the organisation through this transition."

James Clarry, incoming Chief Executive of the Charities Aid Foundation, comments:
