Directorate Change - Appointment of new Independent Non-Executive Director

Rathbones Group Plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Michelle Scrimgeour as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Company and of its main subsidiary, Rathbones Investment Management Limited, with effect from 1 October 2026, subject to regulatory approval. Michelle will become a member of the Risk, Audit, Remuneration and Nomination Committee following her appointment to the Board.

Michelle's appointment follows a formal and rigorous selection process led by the Nomination Committee and forms part of the Board's ongoing succession planning and commitment to maintaining a broad range of skills, experience and independence. As part of the Board's succession planning, it is also intended that Michelle will succeed Terri Duhon as Chair of the Risk Committee, subject to regulatory approval.

Michelle is an experienced business leader with broad international expertise gained in a long career in large and complex financial services firms.  Michelle is currently a non-executive director of Bridgepoint Group PLC and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee.

Michelle previously served as Chief Executive of Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) and as Chief Executive, EMEA, of Columbia Threadneedle Investments.  Prior to that, she was Chief Risk Officer at M&G Investments, whom she joined after holding senior roles at BlackRock and its predecessor firms.

Michelle has served as Deputy Chair of the Investment Association, Chair of the UK Government's Asset Management Taskforce Technology Working Group and was a member of the FCA's Practitioner Panel.

Michelle was awarded a CBE in 2025 for services to the Asset Management industry.
