Person Discharging Managerial Responsibility ('PDMR') shareholding

On 29 April 2009, a subsidiary of the Company, Rathbone Investment Management Limited, entered into a loan agreement with Robert Hughes-Penney (a PDMR) and his wife regarding a loan of up to £100,000 secured on their portfolios which currently include 4,933 Rathbone Brothers Plc ordinary shares of 5p.
