Appointment of Non-Executive Director

Quadrise Plc (AIM: QED), the technology company focused on the decarbonisation of shipping and heavy industry through deployment of low emission fuels and biofuel, is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Covington as Non-Executive Director and member of the Audit Committee with immediate effect. It is expected that Michael will, in the future, succeed Laurie Mutch as Chairman of the Audit Committee, with Laurie Mutch having now informed the Company of his intention to step down as a director of the Company in due course.

Michael brings over 30 years' international experience across the energy, fuels, infrastructure, renewables and industrial technology sectors. He has a strong track record supporting boards through commercial scale‑up and complex deal structuring, combining deep financial discipline with energy‑sector commercial insight and an entrepreneurial approach.

Michael began his career in audit with PwC before becoming a corporate financier at Close Brothers and ABN Amro before moving into senior investment banking roles at Dresdner Kleinwort and later as Managing Director of Cleantech & Renewables at Piper Sandler.

He subsequently led investment, development and portfolio management activities in private equity and renewables through senior positions at SI Capital, Denver Partners, Alpha Real Capital, Bluefield Partners and Blackfinch Group, and has served as a non‑executive director for several clean‑technology and energy‑transition businesses including Enertechnos.

Since 2021, Michael has been a board director and now Chair of Getech Group plc, overseeing audit, risk, finance, strategy and capital allocation during a period of corporate restructuring and refocus on core oil & gas data and services markets. He also serves on the board of Changeworks, contributing governance and risk oversight to one of Scotland's leading decarbonisation organisations.

He holds an MA in Chemistry from the University of Oxford and is a Chartered Accountant (ACA).

Andy Morrison, Chairman of Quadrise commented:

"We are delighted to welcome Michael to Quadrise. With more than three decades of experience across clean-energy, alternative fuels, infrastructure and industrial technology, he brings exceptional financial, strategic and governance expertise to the Company. His extensive background in strategic capital, complex deal structuring and supporting organisations through commercial scale‑up, together with his deep understanding of the energy transition and major industrial counterparties, aligns strongly with our ambitions as Quadrise enters its next phase of growth and commercialisation."
