Further GCLP Chemoproteomics contract secured

Summary by AI BETAClose X

Proteome Sciences PLC has secured a significant clinical contract for its GCLP-compliant chemoproteomics platform, its third contract related to the same protein for ongoing global phase 1 and phase 2 trials. The work, to be conducted in Frankfurt, Germany, is expected to commence with sample shipments later this year and the majority of the project completed in 2027. This contract underscores the demand from major biopharma clients for precise mass spectrometry-based protein assays to demonstrate drug effectiveness in clinical trials.

Further GCLP Chemoproteomics contract secured

As initially announced in June this year, Proteome Sciences plc (AIM:PRM) is pleased to now confirm that the Company has secured the expected significant clinical contract for its chemoproteomics platform.  This project has been developed to comply with Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (“GCLP”) accreditation and will be undertaken at our laboratories in Frankfurt, Germany.

This will be the 3rd contract connected with the same protein for both phase 1 and phase 2 clinical trials that are on-going globally.  Samples are expected to start to be shipped later this year.   The Company envisages that the majority of the work should be completed in 2027.

Richard Dennis, Chief Commercial Officer commented:-

“As reported previously, we continue to see demand from major biopharma clients in the US and Europe for GCLP grade protein assays that require the precision of sophisticated mass spectrometry-based techniques to provide the necessary data to demonstrate the effectiveness of drugs used in clinical trials today.  We anticipate increased requirement for this approach as more complex drugs are taken into clinical trials and future biomanufacturing”.
