AGM Trading update

Summary by AI BETAClose X

Potter & Moore PLC reported challenging first-quarter trading, with year-to-date revenue and gross profit margins below the prior year, reflecting input cost inflation. However, cash on hand increased to £4.1 million as of July 31, 2026, up from £3.6 million on March 31, 2026. The company's strategy is weighted towards the second half of the year, anticipating recovery through new retail listings, promotional activity, and price adjustments, some of which are still under negotiation. AGM Trading update

Potter & Moore PLC ("PAM", the "Company" or the "Group"), the British-based beauty and well-being brand owner and manufacturer, provides the following trading update ahead of its Annual General Meeting ("AGM") of the Company to be held at 11:00 a.m. today.

Q1 trading remained challenging, in line with wider sector conditions. Revenue year to date is behind the same period last year, but broadly in line with internal management expectations, which remain weighted to the second half. Gross profit margin is also tracking below the prior year, reflecting recent input cost inflation ahead of price recovery anticipated over the coming months.

The Group's plan for the year remains weighted to the second half. The Board expects first-half revenue and gross profit margin to be below the prior year, with the second-half plan built around new retail listings, special buy, fast follow activity and sales price recovery, some of which is still in negotiation.

Cash on hand at 31 July 2026 was £4.1m (31 March 2026: £3.6m), stated before lease liabilities and borrowings.

As announced previously, pending approval by shareholders at today's AGM, a final dividend of 0.55 pence per share will be paid on 11 September 2026 to shareholders on the register as at 7 August 2026.

The figures in this announcement are unaudited.
