Performance update at 31st January 2015


Pantheon International Participations PLC ("PIP") announces an unaudited net asset value ("NAV") per share at 31st January 2015 of 1,550.8p, an increase of 37.5p (2.5%) from the NAV per share as at 31st December 2014 and driven by valuation gains (2.0p, 0.1%) investment income (1.0p, 0.1%) and foreign exchange gains (36.3p, 2.4%). Expenses and taxes* (-1.8p, -0.1%) reduced the NAV per share.

PIP's valuation policy for private equity funds is based on the latest valuations reported by the managers of the funds in which PIP has holdings. In the case of PIP's valuation at 31st January 2015, the majority of reported valuations (accounting for circa 94% by value) are dated 30th September 2014 or later.

At 31st December 2014, PIP's private equity assets stood at £896m, whilst cash balances were £125m. Undrawn commitments to investments stood at £240m at 31st January 2015, calculated using exchange rates at that date. In addition, the Company's multi-currency revolving credit facility agreement, comprising a US$100m facility and a €46m facility, remained completely undrawn.


PIP's portfolio generated net cash of £12.5m during the month, with distributions of £15.3m relative to £2.8m of calls from existing commitments to private equity funds.


PIP completed four new investments during the month: a £6.8m secondary investment in a US buyout fund that was 90% funded; a £6.9m secondary investment in a portfolio of funds that was 78% funded; a co-investment £2.8m alongside EQT in Sivantos (formerly Siemens Audiology), a leading global supplier of hearing aids and complementary accessories and fitting software; and a further co-investment totalling £4.7m in new commitments.
