Appointment of Chief Development and Product Officer

 

Oxford Nanopore Technologies plc (LSE: ONT), the company delivering a new generation of nanopore-based molecular sensing], today announces the appointment of David Miller as Chief Development and Product Officer (CDPO), joining on 1st September. The Company also confirms that Conor McKechnie will join as Chief Marketing and Communications Officer (CMCO) on 1st October, as previously announced.  

Together, these appointments strengthen the Oxford Nanopore's leadership team, bringing greater alignment between product development, market positioning and commercial execution. 

As CDPO, David will lead Product Management, Development and Applications, strengthening the connection between the Company's strategy, development priorities and product portfolio. David joins Oxford Nanopore from Pacific Biosciences, where he served as Head of Research & Development and Vice President, Global Marketing. Prior to that, he held senior product leadership roles at Illumina, including responsibility for major platform launches.  


As CMCO, Conor will lead Oxford Nanopore's global Marketing and Corporate Affairs functions, with responsibility for strengthening market positioning, customer engagement and the Company's corporate and technology narratives. Conor joins from Cytiva, where he has served as Group Vice President, Marketing. He previously held senior marketing, communications and public affairs roles at GE Healthcare.
