PORTFOLIO UPDATE

Northern Venture Trust PLC ("Northern Venture Trust") announces the sale of its investment in IG Doors Limited ("IG Doors"), which manufactures steel and GRP composite doors, to the Hörmann Group.

Northern Venture Trust received cash proceeds of £0.81 million for its holding of ordinary shares in IG Doors.  The carrying value of the investment in IG Doors in Northern Venture Trust's unaudited half-yearly financial statements for the six months ended 31 March 2013, published on 16 May 2013, was £0.56 million.  The uplift in Northern Venture Trust's net assets resulting from the sale is therefore £0.25 million, equivalent to approximately 0.3p per ordinary share.
