                   Murray Income Trust PLC ('the Company')

Application has been made to the London Stock Exchange Plc and the UK Listing
Authority for a total of 13,088 B Ordinary shares of 25p each ('shares') to be
admitted to the Official List. It is expected that permission to admit the new
shares will be granted on 07 November 2001 and that Trading will commence on
08 November 2001.

These shares are being issued as a result of the Capitilisation issue of B
Ordinary shares of 25p each on a basis of 2.64172 shares for every 100 held.

When issued,these shares will rank pari passu with the existing Ordinary
shares.
