Sales and Profitability

The positive momentum highlighted in the recent September Trading Update continued during the remainder of the month. The Group's technology-enabled operating platform, underpinned by sustained investment in AI, data and digital capabilities together with new store growth, continues to support improved pricing, vehicle acquisition, customer demand generation, vehicle allocation and fulfilment, and business intelligence.  This has helped Motorpoint deliver market share outperformance and record metal margins. Along with disciplined cost control, this has more than offset the impact of high interest rates and inflation.

The Board remains confident in the outlook for FY27 and therefore continues to expect underlying profit before taxation for the full year to be in the range of £9.8m to £10.8m, in line with the recently upgraded market consensus.

Notice of Results

The Group expects to announce its Interim Results on 11 November 2026.

Mark Carpenter, Chief Executive Officer of Motorpoint Group PLC commented:

"Motorpoint has delivered another strong period of volume and profit growth. This is despite a backdrop of consumer uncertainty fuelled by inflation, high interest rates and the impending Government budget. The investments made in technology have driven tangible operational and financial benefits, helping us source the right vehicles and price them for optimised rate of sale, which results in consistently high metal margins. The competitive advantages resulting from this investment, along with strong financial performance in the first half of FY27 gives us confidence in the Group's prospects for the remainder of the year and beyond."
