McBride plc, the leading manufacturer of private label household and personal
care products, announces that its preliminary results for the year ended 30
June 2001 will be announced on 6 September 2001.

McBride continues to be in discussions concerning a possible offer for the
Group.  Whilst there is no certainty at this stage that any transaction will
result, an announcement will be made if and when further developments occur.
