M&G PLC BOARD APPOINTMENT

 

M&G plc today announces Hitoshi Yamaguchi will join the Board as a Non-Executive Director, and will also become a member of the Nomination and Governance Committee, with effect from 3 September 2026. This follows satisfaction of certain conditions of the Implementation Agreement as part of the strategic partnership with Daiichi Life Group, Inc.

 

Currently serving as Group Chief Human Resources Officer at Daiichi Life Group, Inc., Hitoshi brings more than three decades of leadership experience, spanning international insurance, finance and corporate management. He has held a number of senior management positions at Daiichi Life Group, Inc., including Business Head of the International Life Insurance Division, Senior Managing Executive Officer of Dai Ichi Life Holdings, Inc. (now Daiichi Life Group, Inc.), and Deputy CEO and CFO of Star Union Dai Ichi Life Insurance. He has been a member of the Board of Daiichi Life Group, Inc. since June 2023.
