Literacy Capital plc ("Literacy" or the "Company"), a listed investment trust primarily focused on investing directly into private businesses based in the UK, is pleased to announce the appointment of Nick Latner as an independent Non-Executive Director with effect from 22 October 2026.

 

Nick brings over 20 years' post-qualification experience in private equity, valuations, finance and audit to the Board. He has acted as Finance Director of Hg Capital, one of the world's largest technology-focused private equity investors, since 2019. In this role, he has led Hg's finance function through a period of significant growth, with the firm's AUM increasing to over $110bn. Prior to this, Nick spent five years in senior finance roles at Capita plc, and 12 years at Deloitte at the beginning of his career, where he led complex listed audit engagements including WPP and DS Smith. Nick holds no other directorships.

 

Nick will be appointed as Chair of Literacy Capital's Audit Committee and a member of the Management Engagement Committee.

 

After serving as a Non-Executive Director since April 2021, Rachel Murphy will step down from the Board with effect from 22 October 2026.
