Appointment of new independent Non-Executive Director

 

Literacy Capital plc ("Literacy" or the "Company"), a listed investment trust primarily focused on investing directly into private businesses based in the UK, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dawn Marriott as an independent Non-Executive Director with effect from 27 February 2026.

 

Dawn brings a wealth of expertise in business growth, operations, and governance. With a career spanning over three decades across multiple sectors, she has held several significant roles. Until recently, Dawn was a Partner at Hg Capital, Europe's leading private equity investor in software and services businesses, and has acted and continues to act as Group CEO or Executive Chair for several of its portfolio companies. Prior to joining Hg Capital, she was Chief Operating Officer and a Group Board Member at Capita. Dawn currently serves as an independent Non-Executive Director of JTC PLC, the FTSE 250 listed professional services business.

 

Dawn will be appointed as a member of the Audit and Management Engagement Committees.

 

After serving as a Non-Executive Director since February 2018, Simon Downing will step down from the Board with effect from 27 February 2026.
