Legal & General Group Plc announces the appointment of Kirsty Cooper CBE as an Independent Non-Executive Director

 

The Board of Legal & General Group Plc (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Kirsty Cooper CBE as an independent non-executive director with effect from 1 November 2026. Kirsty will join the Group Remuneration and Group Enterprise Transformation Committees on appointment.

 

Kirsty is a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Risk and Compliance Committee at Aon UK Limited and is also currently a Non-Executive Director and Chair of the People Committee at Scottish Widows Group1. Kirsty's career has spanned over 30 years in the Insurance and Financial Services sector and latterly, she was the Group General Counsel and Company Secretary, Head of the Office of the Chairman and an Executive Committee member at Aviva plc until December 2023. Kirsty is also Chair of the FCA's Listing Authority Advisory Panel, a member of the Dormant Assets Commission and was formerly Senior Independent Director of HM Land Registry and the Royal Opera House Covent Garden Foundation.
