Legal & General Group Plc announces the appointment of Stephen Shelley as an Independent Non-Executive Director

 

The Board of Legal & General Group Plc (the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Shelley as an independent non-executive director with effect from 1 December 2026. Stephen will join the Group Risk Committee and Group Audit Committee on appointment.

 

Stephen is currently Group Chief Risk Officer of Lloyds Banking Group plc1. Stephen brings a wealth of executive experience in financial services and risk management including operating within highly complex and regulated environments. Prior to joining Lloyds Banking Group, Stephen held senior roles at Barclays Bank PLC, including Chief Risk Officer at Barclays Corporate and the UK Commercial Bank and prior to that, he was the Chief Credit Officer for the UK Retail and Corporate business.

 

There are no other matters that require disclosure under 6.4.8R of the UK Listing Rules.
