Kier secures c.£500m Hinchingbrooke Hospital redevelopment under the NHS Hospital 2.0 Alliance

Kier Group plc ("Kier" or the "Group"), a leading infrastructure services, construction and property group, today announces its appointment as the lead construction partner for the redevelopment of Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Cambridgeshire. With an approximate contract value of £500m, Hinchingbrooke is in the first wave of schemes under the NHS Hospital 2.0 Alliance, part of the UK's New Hospital Programme.

Kier will work in partnership with North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, with main works beginning in 2028, and targeted completion in 2032. The project will combine digital innovation, modern methods of construction and close collaboration to improve productivity, quality and certainty of delivery.

Stuart Togwell, CEO, Kier Group, said: "The NHS touches every community, and the opportunity to help deliver a new Hinchingbrooke Hospital is both a privilege and a responsibility. Working in partnership with North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust, our focus will be on creating a modern healthcare environment that supports exceptional patient care, enhances staff wellbeing and meets the needs of local people for generations to come.

"Our connection to Hinchingbrooke is longstanding. Through our facilities management work over the past twenty years, we have become part of the hospital community and developed a deep understanding of the people, place and services that make it so important to the region.

"As lead construction partner, we will utilise that knowledge, working closely with local stakeholders, businesses and communities to maximise social value, create opportunities and leave a lasting legacy that will serve the area for decades to come."

Kier has a long-established track record in healthcare, having delivered more than 200 projects and major investment programmes across the UK.
