Update on Sea Concession 2A Technical Report

Summary by AI BETAClose X

Kazera Global plc has announced an update on its Sea Concession 2A heavy mineral sands project, with an advanced draft technical report indicating a high-grade initial resource and a substantial wider geological target. The evaluation area, representing only 1.42% of the total concession, hosts an Inferred Mineral Resource of 6.65 million tonnes of heavy minerals at a grade of 20.04% Total Heavy Minerals, containing approximately 1.33 million tonnes of economic heavy minerals. The report conservatively estimates the entire 2A area could host at least 234 million tonnes of heavy mineral sands, with the remaining 98.58% of the concession identified as a significant geological target.

Update on Sea Concession 2A Technical Report

Advanced draft indicates high-grade initial resource and
substantial wider geological target

Kazera Global plc (AIM: KZG), the AIM-quoted investment company, is pleased to provide the following update in respect of the Sea Concession 2A heavy mineral sands ("HMS") project in Alexander Bay, Northern Cape, South Africa ("2A" or the "Project") independent technical report (the "Technical Report") which is being prepared by Creo Geo Consulting (Pty) Ltd ("Creo").

The current draft of the Technical Report includes evaluation of a surf-zone area which represents only 1.42% of the total area of 2A license but nevertheless hosts an Inferred Mineral Resource of 6.65 million tonnes of HMS at a grade of 20.04% Total Heavy Minerals ("THM").

The draft of the Technical Report further notes:

the Evaluation Area contains an Inferred Mineral Resource currently estimated at 6.65 million tonnes of HMS at a grade of approximately 20.04% THM;

the Evaluation Area contains approximately 1.33 million tonnes of economic heavy minerals;

the Total Heavy Minerals assemblage contains a high proportion of economic heavy minerals, principally garnet, ilmenite, zircon and rutile;

the Inferred Mineral Resource grade compares extremely favourably with typical operating HMS mines globally;

the draft report identifies the remaining 98.58% of 2A to be considered a "substantial geological target"; and

on a conservative basis, the 2A area has the potential to host a mineral resource of at least 234 million tonnes of HMS based on extrapolation of the current Inferred Mineral Resource which Creo believe is a reasonable assumption based on the observed homogeneous nature of the deposit thus far.

The draft Technical Report remains subject to further review, completion and sign-off by the Qualified Person. As such the Inferred Mineral Resource noted above should be regarded as preliminary until the final report is published.

A further announcement will be made once the final Technical Report has been completed, approved and signed off.

Richard Jennings, Interim Chief Executive Officer of Kazera Global plc, commented:

"We are very pleased with the provisional results of the draft Technical Report and what it means for our flagship asset in South Africa with regards to the economics and the future revenues that the Company can expect to receive under the deal we signed with South Africa AT Investments (Pty) Ltd on 9 July 2026.

"The current draft indicates that the initial Evaluation Area, which represents  just 1.42% of the 2A licence area contains a high-grade Inferred Mineral Resource with a significant proportion of economic heavy minerals that is in the top tier globally compared to other HMS projects. Importantly, the draft report also identifies the remaining 98.58% of the concession as a substantial Geological Target.

"Subject to final sign-off of the Technical Report and granting of the 2A Mining Right, we believe these findings have the potential to demonstrate the scale and commercial significance of 2A as a long-life heavy mineral sands project."

The technical information contained in this announcement has been reviewed by Dr Johan Hattingh (Pr. Sci. Nat.), who is a Qualified Person for the purposes of the JORC Code and who is responsible for the preparation of the Technical Report. Dr Hattingh has reviewed and approved the technical information contained in this announcement, which remains subject to finalisation of the Technical Report.
