Karbon Group achieves the highest consumer standards rating
The Regulator of Social Housing has awarded Karbon Group its highest rating for consumer standards, C1.
Karbon now holds the highest possible ratings across all three regulatory areas: governance (G1), financial viability (V1) and consumer standards (C1).
The Group received a C2 rating in September 2025. Following improvements to its services, the regulator reviewed its grading and announced the upgrade on 28th October 2026.
Paul Fiddaman, Karbon Group Chief Executive said: "We're pleased to have achieved a C1 rating. The judgement recognises the strength of our services and the improvements we've made to ensure we're delivering the best possible experience for our customers.
"We're particularly proud of the work we've done to better understand our customers' needs through our Getting to Know You project, alongside the improvements we've made to the timeliness of non-urgent repairs.
"We're delighted to receive this recognition, but our ambition doesn't stop here. We remain committed to continually improving, listening to our customers and providing safe, quality homes and services that people can rely on."
The rating covers Karbon Group, which includes Karbon Homes, 54North Homes and Leazes Homes.
Karbon Group owns and manages almost 35,000 homes across the North of England.
