IO#11 Additional Water Source Installed and IO#12 Progress

Iofina plc, specialists in the exploration and production of iodine and manufacturers of specialty chemical products, is pleased to announce that the additional brine water source at IO#11 has now been fully installed, as previously announced on 5 June 2026.

Once fully operational, the additional brine supply is expected to increase crystalline iodine production at IO#11 by approximately 45-65 metric tonnes ("MT") annually, representing an expected 50% increase in annual production from the plant. IO#11 now utilises two separate brine water sources, providing additional production capacity and greater operational resilience.

The Company also confirms that construction of IO#12 continues to progress as planned, with the plant on track to become operational by the end of Q3 2026. Once fully operational, IO#12 is expected to be the Group's largest IOsorb® plant, with annual crystalline iodine production anticipated to be between 170-220 MT.

President and CEO, Dr. Tom Becker, commented:

"We are pleased that the additional brine supply at IO#11 is now fully installed, which will bring a substantial upgrade of 50% increased production of crystalline iodine at that plant, as well as demonstrating the operational flexibility of our facilities.

"With IO#12 remaining on track to be operational by the end of Q3 2026, these are all important steps in Iofina's exciting growth strategy and reinforce our clear pathway towards our firm ambition of producing 2,000 MT of crystalline iodine annually."
