Agreements to Build Two IOsorb® Plants in Oklahoma

Iofina plc, specialists in the exploration and production of iodine and manufacturers of specialty chemical products, announces that it has signed agreements with an existing brine supply partner to develop the Group's next two IOsorb® plants, IO#13 and IO#14, in the central Oklahoma core area.

These two plants will be built concurrently, and groundwork is anticipated to start soon, with the IOsorb® plants preliminarily scheduled to be operational before the end of H1 2027. This project will be the largest undertaking for the Group in this core area, but otherwise the underlying characteristic of the plants will be consistent with recent IOsorb® builds.

With both new plants aiming to be operational by the end of H1 2027, along with IO#12 expected to be commissioned by the end of the month, the Group is confidently tracking to its production targets over the next couple of years and towards its objective of reaching 2000MT of production per annum. The Company looks forward to providing further updates as this project progresses.

President and CEO, Dr. Tom Becker, commented:

"We are delighted to be partnering with one of our existing partners to construct two new IOsorb® plants simultaneously. The decision to build two plants at the same time is a calculated choice to ensure the delivery of the Group's strategy. The new plants will be built within our established core Oklahoma territory, and combined, these plants are expected to significantly add to Iofina's crystalline iodide production capacity."
