Image Scan Holdings Secures First Major ClanTect Contract Following Acquisition

Image Scan Holdings plc (AIM: IGE), the specialist provider of X-ray screening and security inspection technologies, is pleased to announce that ClanTect Limited (“ClanTect”), recently acquired by the Group, has secured its first significant contract since joining Image Scan.

The contract is for the supply of six ClanTect human presence detection (HPDS) systems for use in state border security operations in Eurasia.

This award represents an important early validation of the strategic rationale for the acquisition. It demonstrates the opportunity created by combining ClanTect’s proven human presence detection technology with the Group’s established international sales channels, partner network and security-sector expertise.

ClanTect broadens the Group’s offering into an adjacent and complementary area of security detection. While 3DX-Ray’s established portfolio supports X-ray inspection across security, defence and industrial applications, ClanTect  is designed to detect people concealed within vehicles, trucks and trailers using highly sensitive vibration sensing and proprietary signal-processing technology.

The latest ClanTect HPDS system incorporates wireless sensor technology, enabling more than one vehicle to be screened at the same time and supporting increased throughput at border checkpoints, ports and other security-critical locations.
